Route map & elevation

The half marathon at the World Athletics Road Running Championships Copenhagen 26 is the showcase event of the weekend. It will feature the best runners on the planet – and you. That’s right. You are qualified to join the elite when they race through Copenhagen to earn the title as world champion. This is probably your best – if not your only – chance to compete in a real world championship on a specially designed course that is flat, fast, and fun. If you have ever raced in Copenhagen we don’t need to tell you that the spectators here are among the most energetic in the world. We promise that they will supply you with all the motivation you need to keep the legs going. Also the course will be packed with power zones, music, and live entertainment that will make the 21.0975 kilometers fly by. Along the way you will pass through the historic inner city as well as Copenhagen's charming and colorful bridge districts. And the finishing straight will feature an epic tunnel of noise from the crowd as you race towards your well earned medal. So lace up your running shoes and race in the exact footsteps of the best runners in the world. Or as we say: Run your legs off. Pick them up in lost-and-found. But no matter your pace you better be ready at the starting line when the gun goes off and you take the first step into an experience of a lifetime. Ready. Set. Blast!
