A PERSONAL NOTE

Hey, I'm Kevin! I'm building JRNY as a personal project for my own marathon journey, but I think it could be useful to other runners too.

I have a background in design, so I've worked with experienced developers to ensure the app is secure and handles your data properly. If you ever want to delete your account or have questions about your data, please email me directly at kevdevine@gmail.com.

The policy below covers the legal requirements, but here's the simple version: I only collect what's needed to make the app work, I don't sell your data, and I don't track you around the web.

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
ACCOUNT INFORMATION

When you create an account, jrny.run collects your email address and any profile information you choose to provide.

STRAVA DATA

If you connect your Strava account, jrny.run accesses your running activities and basic profile information to help plan your training.

TRAINING DATA

jrny.run stores the training plans, race profiles, and other information you create in the app.

HOW JRNY.RUN USES COOKIES

JRNY.run only uses essential cookies that are necessary for the app to work.

LOGIN COOKIES

When you log in, JRNY.run stores small files called cookies in your browser to remember that you're logged in. Without these, you'd have to log in every time you visit a new page.

WHAT JRNY.RUN DOESN'T USE

JRNY.run doesn't use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies that would follow you around the internet.

HOW JRNY.RUN PROTECTS YOUR DATA
  • Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption
  • JRNY.run only accesses your data when necessary to provide the service
  • JRNY.run doesn't share your personal information with third parties
  • Your Strava connection is secured through official Strava authentication
YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

  • Access your data: See what information we have about you
  • Delete your data: Remove your account and all associated data
  • Update your data: Change or correct your information
  • Export your data: Get a copy of your information

To exercise any of these rights, you can delete your account through the app settings or contact us directly.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
SUPABASE

We use Supabase to store your account and training data securely. They follow strict privacy standards.

STRAVA

If you connect Strava, we access your data through their official API. You can disconnect this at any time.

OPENWEATHER

We use OpenWeather to provide race day weather forecasts. No personal data is shared with them.

DATA RETENTION

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we'll remove all your personal data within 30 days.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we'll update the date at the top and let you know if the changes are significant.
